SAT/ACT/PSAT
There are a number of standardized tests that may be required by colleges for admission to the institution or to specific programs or scholarships. During your college search, you should determine whether the colleges you're interested in require standardized tests such as the SAT or ACT or whether these tests are optional for admissions review. A list of "Test Optional" colleges can be found on FairTest Home - Fairtest.
SAT: Registration for the SAT must be done directly through the testing agency online at The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board. College Board offers test previews and full-length practice tests on Bluebook™ , the College Board digital testing application, as well as downloadable practice tests to help students prepare for the digital assessments. Students access these resources on Bluebook either through their College Board account or with their sign-in ticket provided for school day testing. Students can see their score on a completed practice test by accessing My Practice at mypractice.collegeboard.org (using the same credentials they used to take the practice test, either their College Board account or school day testing sign-in ticket).
ACT: Registration for the ACT must be done directly through the testing agency online at Register for the ACT | The ACT Test. Registration does NOT go through CBSD/My Payments Plus. Students interested in taking the ACT can access free practice resources directly through ACT: Free ACT Practice Tests and Prep | ACT.
PSAT: The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is offered in October only to 10th and 11th grade students. College-bound 10th and 11th grade students are encouraged to take the PSAT to gain exposure to the SAT. Juniors may also use the test to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. For more information about the PSAT, you can visit the College Board website (includes details about practice tests/resources, score release, etc.)
ePrep: Central Bucks students in grades 10 through 12 are automatically enrolled at https://www.eprep.com, and have FREE access to SAT and ACT prep programs. At eprep.com, students will find practice tests, test-taking tips, and videos that explain how to correct problems answered incorrectly during practice sessions. CBSD students receive a welcome email with login information during their sophomore year.
