2026-2027 Parking Information

Please check this site regularly as the information will change as needed. The latest information is always first.

07/13/2026 - ***PARKING APPLICATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT A LATER DATE***

As you may be aware, CB South is currently undergoing significant expansion at the rear of our school. This project is intended to accommodate and support the realignment of grades across the district. Due to the scope of the work being done, the construction team will require substantial space to operate safely, store materials and equipment, and maintain an appropriate work zone. As a result, a significant portion of the rear parking lot will be unavailable for regular use during the 2026–2027 school year.

In addition to the construction-related limitations, CB South must also accommodate an increased number of staff members next year. Our goal is to communicate this information clearly and proactively while continuing to prioritize the safety of students, staff, and visitors.

Please review the following important information regarding student parking for the 2026–2027 school year:

  1. After staff parking assignments have been established, seniors will receive first priority for available student parking spaces. Please note that, due to reduced availability, not all seniors are guaranteed a parking space this year.
  2. No juniors will be eligible to apply for parking spots during the school day.
  3. Students enrolled in academic programs that require personal transportation, such as Biotech, Community Internship, Principles of Teaching, or MBIT Co-Op, will be accommodated to the best of our ability. This may include a partial parking assignment based on course enrollment. Proof of enrollment or participation will be required.
  4. Students with outstanding obligations to the school should resolve them as soon as possible. If a student has any outstanding obligations when the parking application window opens, their application will automatically be placed at the bottom of the list, regardless of when it was submitted. No exceptions will be made.
  5. Parking spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis after staff parking and priority student parking needs for course requirements have been addressed. Applications from students with outstanding obligations will be placed at the bottom of the list.
  6. MBIT students: Only students participating in Co-Op programs will receive priority consideration for parking. Senior MBIT students who are not participating in Co-Op will be included in the general parking application process. All other MBIT students must arrange transportation or take the bus.
  7. Parking violations during the 2026–2027 school year will result in a $50 ticket per infraction. Students who park in a space that has not been assigned to them will receive a ticket. A copy of the ticket will be scanned and emailed to the parent within 24 hours of the infraction.

We recognize that these parking limitations may require families to make adjustments to their daily routines beginning in September. By sharing this information now, we hope students and families will have time to resolve any outstanding obligations and develop transportation plans for the upcoming school year.

Applications for CB South parking permits are tentatively expected to be released in late July. If additional information becomes available or any changes occur, updates will be shared through the school website and student email.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and flexibility as we work with the construction team and prepare for the many changes ahead.

Sincerely,

CB South Security Team and CB South Administrative Team
